Adult Evening Programs

Handle with care:

The Handle with Care course is designed to help parents and caregivers promote the social and emotional well-being of children aged 0-12.

This course consists of simple, interactive strategies that build on the strengths of parents and caregivers. Through the support of the Provincial and Federal Government, and the Early Childhood Development Association of PEI, this course is free for all caregivers!

Handle with Care is for EVERYONE who cares for or works with children: parents, grandparents, friends, educators and more.

It is based on 4 building blocks:
-Building Trust and Attachment
-Building and Enhancing Self-Esteem
-Expressing Emotions
-Relationships with Others

Each course session includes:
-2 hours of programming for caregivers
-2 hours of programming for children (Aged 5-12)
-The opportunity to connect and learn alongside other caregivers.
-A sense of community

The Handle with Care course includes FREE access to BGC Charlottetown’s Evening Program on the night of your course. Please ensure you register your young person(s) in the appropriate evening program. Please note; Evening Programs are for children aged 5-12.
